Jack J. Sparacio MSPT, CPEE, COMT, CFMT founder of Sparacio Physical Therapy P.C., is 1 of only 300 physical therapists in the United States to obtain the elite designation of Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT), through the Institute of Physical Art. Functional Manual Therapy is an integrated and seamless treatment system which couples mechanical treatment of the joints, soft tissues, visceral and neurovascular systems with manual neuromuscular facilitation to enhance optimum motor control and human function. He is also 1 of 700 physical therapists in the country to achieve Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) designation, specializing in The Maitland Approach to orthopedic manual therapy through Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars. The Maitland Approach is a world-renowned, highly effective, gentle approach to the management of neuromusculoskeletal conditions. He is only one of 5 physical therapists in the country to have earned both CFMT and COMT credentials. Jack receieved his Master's Degree in Physical Therapy in 1994 from Long Island University, where he graduated magna cum laude. Approaching 22 years of clinical practice, he is an expert in orthopedic and sports physical therapy. Aside from his CFMT and COMT credentials, he is also comprehensively trained in the McKenzie Method, Functional Spinal Stabilization Training, and Ergonomics. He became a Certified Professional Evaluator in Ergonomics (CPEE) in 2000 through Virginia Westra FNP, MPH at Applied Ergonomics Inc.. He has completed extensive training in the Osteopathic Methodology through Integrative Manual Therapy Solutions LLC, which was founded by the late Jeffrey J. Ellis MS, PT, MTC, FFCFMT. He has participated in over 90 continuing education courses, lectures and seminars focusing on orthopedic and sports physical therapy. He is a longstanding member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Prior to founding Sparacio Physical Therapy P.C. , Mr. Sparacio was co-owner of PhysioLogic Physical Therapy P.C.. Through affiliations with several universities, he continues to pass his knowledge and skills on to future physical therapists.
Marci K. Oconefsky Sparacio MSPT received her Master's Degree in Physical Therapy in 1995 from Long Island University. She began her career at North Shore University Hospital specializing in orthopedic geriatric rehabilitation. She then spent over 5 years working at North Shore Sports Institute, with one of the leading orthopedic surgeons in the country, providing orthopedic and sports physical therapy services. She has also performed pediatric physical therapy services working with children with autism, developmental delays and neurological disorders. She has taken multiple continuing education courses in orthopedic and sports physical therapy. Marci is co-founder of Sparacio Physical Therapy P.C. Marci is responsible for the day to day financial operations of the office.
Michael P. Marchiselli DPT, completed a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University in 1996. Early in his career, he spent over 6 years honing his skills as a manual physical therapist at New York Presbyterian Hospital at Columbia University Medical Center. He soon became a mentor to junior staff, a clinical instructor to numerous physical therapy students and held the title of Assistant Head Physical Therapist. At Presbyterian, Michael also held a position on the worker's compensation board and ergonomics committee. In that role, he helped to facilitate the return to work of injured employees, as well as prevent work place injury through ergonomic design and education. Michael left the hospital in 2004 to pursue a career in private practice. He was Director at Physiologic Physical Therapy P.C. in Roslyn where he worked for over 6 years. Michael has extensive training in orthopedic and sports manual physical therapy, temporomandibular joint dysfunction, balance, gait disorders and ergonomics. In 2011, he brought his skills to Sparacio Physical Therapy P.C.. In 2014, he earned the title of Doctor of Physical Therapy through Utica College of Syracuse University. Through affiliations with several universities, he continues to pass his knowledge and skills on to future physical therapists.
Dr. Camron M. Einerman DPT, graduated from Hunter College in 2014 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree. While in physical therapy school Camron completed a 3 month clinical internship at Sparacio Physical Therapy P.C.. Camron is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association. He has been actively participating in continuing education courses, specializing in Functional Manual Therapy, through The Institute of Physical Art. He specializes in orthopedic and sports physical therapy.
Amanda Johnson graduated from Full Sail University in 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design. Amanda is responsible for managing the Glen Cove office and handling the insurance needs of our patients. Moreover, she is also our graphic designer and assists our marketing team.
Dr. Karen M. Danchalski DPT, graduated from The University of Indiana in 1998 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree. Karen has worked in a variety of clinical settings. Karen is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association. She has been actively participating in continuing education courses, specializing in Functional Manual Therapy, through The Institute of Physical Art. She specializes in orthopedic and sports physical therapy.
